How it works

How battery backup works

The system detects grid loss and transfers critical loads to the battery within milliseconds.

    Grid monitoring

    An integrated STS / ATS cabinet continuously monitors grid voltage and frequency.

  2. 02

    Outage detected

    On grid loss the system switches critical loads to battery with seamless on/off-grid transfer in ≤20 ms.

  3. 03

    Battery supplies loads

    The PCS supplies backed-up loads; PV can keep charging the battery during a prolonged outage.

  4. 04

    Grid returns

    When the grid recovers, the system resynchronises and switches back automatically.

The integrated STS cabinet provides seamless on/off-grid switching within 20 ms, fast enough for most sensitive C&I loads.

How long can the system back up my site?

Backup duration is sized around your critical loads. With PV recharging during daytime outages, a site can stay powered well beyond a single battery discharge.

Can backup be combined with peak shaving or self-consumption?

Yes. The same system can deliver self-consumption, peak shaving and backup, with reserve capacity kept for outages.
