Do I need to stop production to install?

Access, isolation and changeover needs depend on the site electrical design and installation method. A qualified local installer should agree phasing and any required downtime with the operator before work starts.

Should I add storage now or later?

Either sequence may be possible. If storage may be added later, the designer should reserve the required electrical capacity, space, protections, controls and grid-approval path from the outset.
